Crisis? We Can Help

When a loved one develops a mental health condition, it's important to know that you're not alone. Many Americans have experienced caring for a person with mental illness. Family members and caregivers often play a large role in helping and supporting them.

You may be trying to help a family member who doesn't have access to care or doesn't want help. Or you may want to learn how to support someone who has been hospitalized or experienced a similar mental health crisis.

Our NAMI OC WarmLine is a free and confidential telephone service providing emotional support and resources to Orange County residents, available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.

Support Groups

Mental health conditions are common among teens and young adults. For many, experiencing the first signs of mental illness can be scary and confusing.

Speaking up and asking for help is a first step and sign of strength. You will be amazed by the support you get simply by asking.

Note that most of our support groups and meeting are virtual, via ZOOM. We are starting to add in-person groups back into our Support Group list.

Please Note: Support Groups are intended for family members and peers ONLY. All support groups involve active participation and are NOT open for observation. If you have any questions or concerns, please email: info@namioc.org

Peer Connector Program

NAMI OC Peer Connector program matches a person with a trained experienced mentor, can either be a family member or individual for 12 weeks of one-on-one connection, by phone. Mentors provide emotional support and community resources.
