We will be here for them, until there are no American heroes sleeping in the streets, parks, cars or in alleyways, just as they were there for all of us. We are the only nonprofit 501(C)(3) community based agency in Orange County that provides services exclusively to homeless and disabled Veterans and their families.

Suicide Prevention Lifeline The Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) has founded a national suicide prevention hotline to ensure veterans in emotional crisis have free, 24/7 access to trained counselors. To operate the Veterans Hotline, the VA partnered with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Call the Lifeline number, 1-800-273-8255, and press "1" to be routed to the Veterans Suicide Prevention Hotline.

Social Security Benefits for Wounded Veterans Government info on disability benefits for wounded veterans.
Military service members can receive expedited processing of disability claims from Social Security. Benefits available through Social Security are different than those from the Department of Veterans Affairs and require a separate application.
The expedited process is used for military service members who become disabled while on active military service on or after October 1, 2001, regardless of where the disability occurs.

The Soldiers Project We are a group of licensed mental health professionals who offer free psychological treatment to military service members (active duty, National Guard, Reserves and veterans) who have served or who expect to serve in OEF and/or OIF. We also provide treatment to members of their families and other loved ones. Treatment is conducted in our private offices. Our therapists are all volunteers and our services are entirely confidential. We do not report to any governmental agency.
